For the month of January I have set myself the challenge of completing a painting a day. 31 days 31 paintings. If you’d like to have a look at this project as it unfolds please visit my blog, apaintersdiary.blog
Emma Perring is an artist working mostly with oil paint. Working form life is a fundamental part of her practise.
She enjoys woking En Plein Air for the energy that can be found when working quickly, in all weathers, sometimes in crowds. The aim is to try and capture an impression of the moment in an oil sketch.
She also works on longer projects in the studio, or around her environment. She is currently studying in Florence at an Atelier where studio projects can take months to finish. The opportunity to observe the subject, still life or model for such prolonged periods allows for truly considered and refined observational work.
Equestrianism is a subject close to the artist heart. Emma aims to collect studies directly form the animals and from equestrian events. The information gathered should culminate in some more consider studio pieces.
